Sofia Resnick is a national reproductive rights reporter for States Newsroom, based in Washington, D.C. She has reported on reproductive-health politics and justice issues for more than a decade. Before joining States Newsroom, Sofia worked as a freelance reporter and editor. She previously worked as an investigative reporter for Rewire News and The American Independent, and as a copy editor for The Austin Chronicle. Her work has also appeared in the Daily Beast, HuffPost, Mother Jones, New York Magazine, Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting, and VICE News. Sofia is originally from Katy, Texas. She has a master’s degree in journalism from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She was a 2019-2020 congressional journalism fellow for the American Political Science Association.
